[NEW YORK NY US] — Premiering to a sold-out house at MoMA last October, cited by Artforum as one of the ten best films of 2006, and since having been screened in just about every major city around the world, Justin Strawhand and Marcin Ramocki's documentary 8 Bit returns to MoMA for a screening this Saturday afternoon as part of the museum's Automatic Update exhibition. Featured in the documentary are artists operating within the realm of repurposing and recontextualizing video game technology for original creative ends, including Cory Arcangel, Bit Shifter, Bodenständig 2000, Bubblyfish, Covox, Mary Flanagan, Alex Galloway, Glomag, Huoratron, Paul Johnson, John Klima, Johan Kotlinski, Joe McKay, Tom Moody, Nullsleep, Akiko Sakaizumi, Eddo Stern, Teamtendo, Tree Wave, Carlo Zanni, and others.
