[BROOKLYN NY US] - New York's Bit Shifter and Montreal's David Kristian join forces and convene this Saturday night at the opening night of Superlowrez, an exhibition being held at Brooklyn gallery vertexList. Visually, the exhibition showcases eight unique variations on a theme; eight artists' "animations" made specifically for custom wall-mounted 12x14 LED grid displays. Sonically, Saturday's opening provides a perfect backdrop for Bit Shifter and David Kristian's low-res, high-intensity beats, melodies, and tones, all delivered on instrumentation centered around the Nintendo Game Boy as primary sound source. Bit Shifter promises his customary beat- and/or melody-heavy tricks perpetrated on LSDj and Nanoloop, and David Kristian achieves unprecedented tones, rhythms, and textures with a minimal but powerful arsenal of Nanoloop synced to a Korg Electribe.
