Live @ Gamers' Nite Groove @ AQUOS Project @ Visual Arts Gallery Soho 2004 12 22

Gamers' Nite Groove
In a rare and exciting convergence, the entire contingent of NYC Game Boy musicians convenes at the Visual Arts Gallery Soho on December 22nd. Bit Shifter joins Bubblyfish, Glomag, and Nullsleep for an all-star edition of Gamers' Nite Groove, spotlighting the intersection of gaming, multimedia, art, technology, and culture.

Organized and curated by New York - Tokyo, Gamers' Nite Groove this time joins symbiotically with the AQUOS Project, an ongoing exhibition currently taking place at the Visual Arts Gallery, spearheading new directions in video art and technology. This will be something to see. Game Boys and NES consoles repurposed into the service of new and subversive music. Beautiful and experimental new interactive games by NYC artist Jonah Warren. A radical porting of the video game aesthetic from the virtual to the physical in paintings by NYC artist David Mauro. An open bar (!). And it's all free with RSVP to game@newyork-tokyo.com. 7:00 sharp - 9:00, 21+.
