Considering he has no measurable aptitude in video, Bit Shifter considers himself doubly fortunate to be represented a second time at the New York Video Festival, first on Thursday's Program 5: Synaesthesiologists: Global Audiovisuals Now, and again as part of Sunday's Program 14: Game Engine 2: Out In The World. This program focuses on the shifting concept of both the "gamer" and the role of the video game, and how the idiom has infiltrated and permeated modern culture. In addition to presentations and screenings by independent game-makers and artists, Bit Shifter and Nullsleep will offer brief performances, and will conduct a brief question-and-answer session. Come check it out, and follow us down to the Tribeca Grand afterwards for a special installment of the always excellent Gamers Nite Groove.
